SOS Brigade decides to shoot an amateur film for the school culture festival, and self-proclaimed "super director" Haruhi Suzumiya spirals out of control. Poor Mikuru is drafted as the leading lady, her costumes and lines dictated by Haruhi's every whim, while Kyon runs camera and damage control. But as filming continues, the "settings" Haruhi invents for the script start bleeding into reality: real beams fire from Mikuru's eyes, cherry blossoms bloom out of season. Haruhi's unconscious will is rewriting the world in this adaptation of the "Sigh" arc.
